PROJECT OVERVIEW
Melia Rial Interior Design was engaged to design the workplace fitout for Tucker & Cowen, a contemporary legal office that reflects the firm's professional identity through considered space planning, refined detailing, and timeless design.
The workplace was thoughtfully planned to support the day-to-day operational needs of a modern legal practice, incorporating private offices, executive boardrooms, client meeting rooms, a dedicated legal library, staff amenities, and support spaces. Every element balances efficiency and function with the understated sophistication expected of a leading professional environment.
DESIGN APPROACH
The design set out to create a workplace where functionality and refined simplicity work in harmony. Private offices offer quiet, focused settings for concentrated work and confidential client discussions, while executive boardrooms and meeting rooms are designed to support presentations, negotiations, and high-level client engagement.
Custom joinery is a defining feature throughout, seamlessly integrating the legal library, workplace storage, and staff amenities into a cohesive design. Warm timber finishes, floor-to-ceiling glazed partitions, and carefully curated materials introduce texture and depth while preserving a restrained, timeless aesthetic.
A contemporary staff teapoint and breakout area, positioned to take in views of the Brisbane city skyline, provides a practical and welcoming retreat for the team, one that complements rather than contrasts with the professional character of the wider workplace.
