PROJECT OVERVIEW
Melia Rial Interior Design was engaged to design Hustl N Grind Café, a contemporary café fitout located within the premium Riverside Centre food precinct in Brisbane's CBD.
Designed to serve office workers, visitors, and the surrounding business community, the fitout creates a welcoming destination that combines efficient café operations with a refined contemporary aesthetic. The design balances durability, functionality, and visual impact, delivering a hospitality environment that feels at home within the high end commercial setting of Riverside Centre.
DESIGN APPROACH
The design set out to create a café with a strong and lasting architectural identity. A sculptural circular service counter forms the heart of the fitout, featuring custom curved joinery, a polished concrete countertop, and vertically stacked textured tiles that together create a customer experience that is as visually striking as it is functional.
Carefully curated materials and subtle detailing introduce texture and warmth throughout, while the open counter layout supports efficient service, intuitive customer flow, and smooth day to day operations. Every design decision was made to create a hospitality environment that feels both genuinely inviting and built to last.
Positioned within one of Brisbane's premier commercial precincts, Hustl N Grind was designed to hold its own within a vibrant retail and hospitality setting while establishing a distinctive identity that keeps customers coming back.
