PROJECT OVERVIEW

Melia Rial Interior Design was engaged to deliver the interior design for Copper Mountain Mining's Brisbane workplace, creating a contemporary office environment that supports collaboration, functionality, and day to day business operations.

The fitout was designed to provide a professional and welcoming workplace that reflects the organisation's corporate identity while accommodating a variety of work settings, including open-plan workspaces, collaborative meeting areas, an executive boardroom, breakout spaces, and staff amenities.

DESIGN APPROACH

The design set out to create a balanced workplace that brings together functionality and a refined contemporary aesthetic. Natural timber finishes, feature batten detailing, integrated planting, and carefully curated materials introduce warmth and texture throughout, without compromising the professional character of the environment.

A variety of meeting and collaboration spaces support communication, project coordination, and team interaction. Open-plan workstations were planned to maximise efficiency, access to natural light, and connectivity across the floor, with acoustic treatments providing focus and privacy where the work demands it.

Feature timber batten walls define key spaces and give the fitout a strong, considered visual identity, complemented by custom joinery, integrated storage, and contemporary furnishings selected to support both form and function.
