Workplace Design
Alstom Office Fitout
Location: Milton, Queensland | Client: Wallum Partners | Build Partner: Focus Fitouts | Sector: Workplace
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Melia Rial Interior Design was engaged to deliver the interior design for Alstom's workplace fitout, creating a contemporary office environment that supports collaboration, employee wellbeing, and day to day functionality.
The design sought to reflect Alstom's global brand while providing a welcoming and adaptable workplace for staff and visitors. Through considered space planning, integrated meeting spaces, collaborative work zones, and high-quality amenities, the fitout was designed to support a range of working styles and encourage meaningful connection across the team.
DESIGN APPROACH
The workplace was planned to balance focused work, informal collaboration, and social connection. A refined material palette featuring natural timber finishes, integrated planting, textured surfaces, and carefully curated furnishings creates an environment that feels warm without sacrificing professionalism.
Biophilic design principles are woven throughout, with greenery and natural materials softening the workplace and contributing to a healthier, more engaging employee experience. Acoustic treatments, flexible furniture, and a variety of meeting settings give staff genuine choice in how and where they work.
